77 Deputy chairperson acting as chairperson
(1)
The deputy chairperson is to perform the functions of the chairperson —
(a)
when the chairperson is unable to act because of illness, absence or other cause; or
(b)
during any vacancy in the office of chairperson.
(2)
An act or omission of the deputy chairperson acting in the place of the chairperson is not to be questioned on the ground that the occasion for acting had not arisen or had ceased.
