244D Language requirements
(1)
The financial records may be kept in any language.
(2)
A co‑operative must ensure that an English translation of financial records not kept in English is made available within a reasonable time to a person who —
(a)
is entitled to inspect the records; and
(b)
asks for the English translation.
Penalty for this subsection: a fine of $2 500.
(3)
Despite The Criminal Code section 23B(2), it is immaterial for the purposes of subsection (2) that any event occurred by accident.
