244ZE Registrar’s power to require lodgment
The Registrar may give a co‑operative a direction to lodge with the Registrar a copy of reports prepared or obtained by it under Divisions 3 to 6, and the co‑operative must comply with the direction.
Penalty for this subsection: a fine of $1 000.
Despite The Criminal Code section 23B(2), it is immaterial for the purposes of subsection (1) that any event occurred by accident.
The direction must —
be made in writing; and
specify the period or periods concerned; and
be made no later than 6 years after the end of the period or periods; and
specify the date by which the documents have to be lodged.
The date specified under subsection (3)(d) must be at least 14 days after the date on which the direction is given.
