Fortification warning notice: issue of
68 Fortification warning notice: issue of
The Commissioner of Police may, without giving notice to any other person, apply to the Commission for the issue of a fortification warning notice.
The Commission may issue a fortification warning notice if satisfied on the balance of probabilities that there are reasonable grounds for suspecting that the premises to which it relates are —
heavily fortified; and
habitually used as a place of resort by members of a class of people a significant number of whom may reasonably be suspected to be involved in organised crime.
The Commission may be satisfied by a statement made by a police officer and verified by statutory declaration.
