72 Offence to fail to comply with order, judgment, warrant or summons

(1)

Subsection (2) applies if —

(a)

in the exercise of its cross‑border jurisdiction, a prescribed court of the State issues an order, judgment, warrant or summons; and

(b)

a person in another participating jurisdiction fails to comply with the order, judgment, warrant or summons; and

(c)

the failure would, if it were to occur in the State, constitute an offence under the law of the State.

(2)

The person commits an offence under this Act punishable by the same penalty as is prescribed for the offence referred to in subsection (1)(c).

(3)

If the offence referred to in subsection (1)(c) is an indictable offence, the offence under subsection (2) is also an indictable offence.
