After section 12(1a) insert:
(1B)
1M Despite subsection (1), a cross‑border magistrate appointed under the Magistrates Court Act 2004 Schedule 1 clause 10(2) as applied by section 10(5) who is a magistrate of another participating jurisdiction may take the oath or affirmation of office in that other participating jurisdiction before a judge of the Supreme Court of that other jurisdiction.
