Cross-border Justice Regulations 2009

In section 3(1) delete the definition of JP.

In section 3(1) insert in alphabetical order:

means Justice of the Peace; and

includes a magistrate of the State in another participating jurisdiction;

In section 3(1) in the definition of senior officer delete paragraph (a) and insert:

^1M a police officer of the State who is, or is acting as, a sergeant or an officer of a rank more senior than a sergeant; or

^1M a police officer of another participating jurisdiction who —

is, or is acting as, a sergeant or an officer of a rank more senior than a sergeant; and

holds a secondary office as a police officer of the State;
