32 Case management hearing, conduct of
At a case management hearing a registrar must review the documents on the Court file and inquire into these matters —
the complexity of the case;
the need for interlocutory proceedings;

whether rule 38(1) should not apply to the case;
the readiness of the parties for trial.
At a case management hearing, either on the oral application of a party or, after notifying the parties, on the registrar’s own initiative, a registrar may —

order that any of the rules in this Division do not apply to the case;
make, amend or cancel any interlocutory order;
make, amend or cancel any case management direction;
make, amend or cancel any enforcement order;
order that the case be managed by a judge.
A registrar may adjourn the case management hearing from time to time.
