43B General powers of relevant persons
In this section —
authorised purpose means the purpose of investigating whether, or collecting evidence that —
an offence is being, or has been, committed against this Act; or
grounds exist for the cancellation of an approval to breed, a pet shop approval or a dog supply approval;
relevant person means an authorised person or a designated person.
A relevant person may, in any premises lawfully entered, do any one or more of the following as is reasonably required for an authorised purpose —
examine, seize, copy or take extracts from a document;
take photographs, films and audio, video or other recordings;
direct a person to answer questions;
examine, including by scanning, a dog;
take any other action that the relevant person believes, on reasonable grounds, is necessary.
