101A Electoral Commissioner may approve procedures for technology assisted voting
The Electoral Commissioner may approve procedures to facilitate voting by eligible electors in an election by means of technology assisted voting.
The approved procedures must be in writing and published on the Commission website.
The approved procedures must provide for the following —
the registration of an eligible elector before the eligible elector votes by means of technology assisted voting;
the making of a record of each eligible elector who has voted by means of technology assisted voting;
the authentication of the eligible elector’s vote;
the secrecy of the eligible elector’s vote;
the means of ensuring that any vote cast in accordance with the approved procedures is securely transmitted to the Electoral Commissioner and securely stored by the Electoral Commissioner;
the scrutiny and counting of votes cast in accordance with the approved procedures.
The validity of a vote cast in accordance with the approved procedures cannot be disputed on the ground that the elector could have voted without assistance.
