235 Terms used
(1)
In this Division —
commencement day means the day on which the Electoral Amendment (Names of Registered Political Parties) Act 2024 section 4 comes into operation;
ongoing application means an application for registration of a political party if —
(a)
the application was made before commencement day; and
(b)
the Electoral Commissioner has neither registered nor refused to register the political party before commencement day.
(2)
A term used in this Division that is given a meaning in section 62J(1) has the same meaning in this Division.
