Rules for fixing close of nominations

In force

For the purposes of section 69(a), the close of nominations for an election must be fixed as —

(a)

for a periodic election — 12 noon on the second Thursday next following the date of the writ; or

(b)

otherwise — 12 noon on a day that is not less than 7 nor more than 45 days after the date of the writ.
