Energy Safety Account

An agency special purpose account called the Energy Safety Account is established under the Financial Management Act 2006 section 16.

The Energy Safety Account is to be credited with —

(a)

any levy paid;

(b)

any amount paid by way of penalty under section 18;

(c)

fees paid for licences under the Electricity Act 1945 and the Gas Standards Act 1972;

(d)

any revenue received by the department from energy safety activities; and

(e)

any other moneys lawfully payable to the Energy Safety Account.
