67 Persons assisting investigators
Where an investigator is exercising any of the investigator’s powers under this Part, a person (the assistant), including an interpreter, may accompany the investigator to assist the investigator if the investigator considers the assistance is necessary.
The assistant —
may do such things and in such manner as the investigator reasonably requires to assist the investigator to exercise the investigator’s powers; but
must not do anything that the investigator does not have power to do, except as permitted under a warrant under Division 3.
Anything done lawfully by the assistant is taken for all purposes to have been done by the investigator.
