151 Mandatory criminal records check
(1)
For the purpose of forming an opinion as to whether a person is a fit and proper person, the Commissioner must inquire into relevant criminal records held by the Police Force of Western Australia and, if practicable, police forces elsewhere in Australia.
(2)
This section does not prevent the Commissioner from inquiring into relevant criminal records held by other law enforcement agencies, including law enforcement agencies outside Australia.
