235 Acquiring from unauthorised person
A person must not acquire a firearm or major firearm part from another person unless the other person is authorised to supply the firearm or major firearm part by a licence or permit.
A reference in this Subdivision to acquiring a firearm or major firearm part from an unauthorised person is a reference to acquiring a firearm or major firearm part in contravention of subsection (1).
This section extends to acquiring a firearm or major firearm part from a person who is outside the State, and the regulations may make provision for the circumstances in which a person outside the State is taken for the purposes of this section to be authorised to supply a firearm or major firearm part by a licence or permit.
