245 Supplying or giving possession of ammunition to unauthorised person
A person who supplies or gives possession of ammunition to another person commits an offence unless the other person is authorised to possess the ammunition by a licence or permit.
Penalty for this subsection: imprisonment for 3 years and a fine of $36 000.
This section extends to the supplying or giving possession of ammunition to a person who is outside the State, and the regulations may make provision for the circumstances in which a person outside the State is taken for the purposes of this section to be authorised by a licence or permit to possess ammunition.
