261 Supplying or giving possession of prohibited accessory to unauthorised person
A person who supplies or gives possession of a prohibited accessory to another person commits a crime unless the other person is authorised to possess the prohibited accessory by a licence or permit.
Penalty for this subsection: imprisonment for 5 years and a fine of $60 000.
Summary conviction penalty for this subsection: imprisonment for 2 years and a fine of $24 000.
This section extends to the supplying or giving possession of a prohibited accessory to a person who is outside the State, and the regulations may make provision for the circumstances in which a person outside the State is taken for the purposes of this section to be authorised by a licence or permit to possess a prohibited accessory.
