Surrender of firearms and related things

In force

(1)

A person who is in possession of a firearm or related thing can surrender it to the Commissioner by —

(a)

taking it to a police station and surrendering it to a police officer at the police station; or

(b)

taking it to an approved location and surrendering it to an approved person at the approved location.

(2)

The surrender of a firearm or related thing to the Commissioner in accordance with subsection (1) is approved surrender of the firearm or related thing for the purposes of this Part.
