387 Evidence in proceedings
In this section —
official document means a document purporting to be, or to be a copy of or extract from —
a firearm authority or other document issued under this Act; or
a document provided or produced to the Commissioner or a police officer in connection with any application or request for information under this Act.
An official document is evidence that is admissible, and is to be accepted as to the matter contained in the document in the absence of proof to the contrary.
An official document that is proved to be an examined copy or extract, purporting to be signed and certified as such by or on behalf of the Commissioner, is for all purposes sufficient evidence of the matter contained in the original without producing the original.
