396 Protection from liability
In this section —
protected person means the Commissioner, a police officer or an employee of the Department.
An action in tort does not lie against a protected person for anything done or omitted to be done by the protected person, in good faith, in —
the administration or purported administration of this Act; or
the performance or purported performance of a function under this Act.
The State is not relieved of any liability it might have for another person having done or omitted to do anything as described in subsection (2).
This section applies in addition to the Police Act 1892 section 137.
