20 Part 4 pipeline becoming PIA pipeline
The regulations may provide for and in relation to any matter arising as a consequence of a gas transmission pipeline ceasing to be a Part 4 pipeline and becoming a PIA pipeline, including by —
providing for any necessary overlap between the application of this Part and Part 2; and
modifying or extinguishing rights, duties or liabilities under this Part; and
modifying the application of a provision of this Act; and
providing for the extension of the scheme of compensation under section 16 to the operator and users of the pipeline to cover any losses resulting from the loss of capacity (in terajoules) of the pipeline resulting from the operator of the pipeline being delivered gas that does not comply with the reference specification for the pipeline, prior to the loss of capacity being dealt with in accordance with a pipeline impact agreement.
