23 Minister to have access to information
In this section —
document includes any tape, disk or other device or medium on which information is recorded or stored;
information means information specified, or of a description specified, by the Minister that relates to the functions of the Council.
The Minister is entitled —
to have information in the possession of the Council; and
if the information is in or on a document, to have access to, and to make and retain copies of, that document.
For the purposes of subsection (2) the Minister may —
request the Council to provide information to the Minister; and
request the Council to give the Minister access to information; and
for the purposes of paragraphs (a) and (b) make use of the staff of the Council to obtain the information and provide it to the Minister.
The Council must comply with requests under subsection (3)(a) and (b) and make its staff and facilities available to the Minister for the purposes of subsection (3)(c).
