Release of vehicle or vessel from storage
86 Release of vehicle or vessel from storage
The major event organiser must ensure a vehicle or vessel is released to a person from storage if —
the major event organiser is satisfied that the person is the owner of the vehicle or vessel; and
the person collects the vehicle or vessel from storage in accordance with the arrangements advised by the major event organiser in a notice to collect within 2 months after the notice to collect is given to the owner.
The major event organiser may refuse to release a vehicle or vessel from storage until the major event organiser has been paid any moving fee payable in respect of the vehicle or vessel, even if the owner of the vehicle or vessel is not the person liable for the fee.
Payment of the moving fee extinguishes the liability of any person to the major event organiser for the fee.
