12 Term of office
(1)
Subject to regulation 13(1), a member holds office for the term, not exceeding 3 years, that is specified in the instrument of appointment for the member.
(2)
A member is eligible for reappointment.
(3)
A member whose term of office expires without a person having been appointed to fill the vacancy continues in office (unless the person’s office becomes vacant under regulation 13(1)) until whichever of the following occurs first —
(a)
a person is appointed to fill the vacancy;
(b)
a period of 3 months elapses after the expiry of the term of office.
