22 Annual report and other reports to Parliament
The Commissioner must report annually to each House of Parliament on —
the performance of the Commissioner’s obligations under this Act; and
compliance or non‑compliance with the Act; and
compliance or non‑compliance with the code established under section 20.
Despite subsection (1), the Commissioner may at any time, if he or she thinks fit, lay before each House of Parliament a report on any matter arising in connection with the exercise of his or her functions under this Act.
If either House of Parliament is not sitting at the time when the Commissioner wishes to lay a report under subsection (2) then the Commissioner may —
send copies of the report to the Clerk of that House; and
make the report available to the public.
