17 Parole term, CEO to give Board report about prisoner on
In the case of a prisoner serving a parole term the CEO must give the Board a written report that deals with the release considerations relating to the prisoner.
The report must be given to the Board a reasonable period of time before the date when the prisoner concerned is eligible to be released on parole under section 93(1) of the Sentencing Act 1995.
The CEO’s duty under this section in respect of a prisoner is in addition to any duty under section 11A in respect of the prisoner unless the Board, having received a prisoner management report under section 11A in respect of the prisoner, directs the CEO not to comply with this section.
