In this section —
relevant Commonwealth criminal law means a law of the Commonwealth relating to a purpose referred to in section 18(2).

For the purposes of a law of the State, an offence against the applied therapeutic goods law —
is taken to be an offence against the laws of the Commonwealth in the same way as if the applied therapeutic goods law were a law of the Commonwealth; and
is taken not to be an offence against the laws of the State.
Subsection (3) has effect for the purposes of a law of the State except as provided by the local regulations.
