149 Court may make additional orders
A court sentencing a person convicted of an offence under this Act may, in addition to any penalty that may be imposed in respect of the offence, make an order under subsection (2).
The court may make an order prohibiting the person convicted and, if that person is a body corporate, an officer of the body corporate from 1 or more of the following —
carrying on or managing a veterinary practice business;
having a financial interest in a veterinary practice business;
entering into commercial arrangements (whether or not on behalf of another person) with a person who carries on or manages a veterinary practice business.
An order under subsection (2) must specify —
the period of the prohibition, which may be indefinite; and
whether the prohibition is absolute or on conditions specified in the order.
The court must ensure that a copy of an order under subsection (2) is given to the Board.
An order under subsection (2) may be enforced as if it were a judgment of the court.
