40 Infringement notices
(1)
A WELS inspector who has reason to believe that a person has committed a prescribed offence under Part 7 Division 2, 3 or 4 may, not more than 12 months after the alleged offence is believed to have been committed, give an infringement notice to the alleged offender.
(2)
An offence cannot be prescribed under this section if it is punishable by imprisonment.
