An effective sentence of 7 years' imprisonment is within the range for commercial dealing in approximately 110 grams of amphetamines by a non-addicted dealer who pleaded guilty early, even where the sentencing judge may not have given full discount for mitigating factors on the head sentence, provided the concurrent sentence structure means the overall effective sentence reflects the totality of criminality. Where offences are committed on separate occasions, partial cumulation may be more appropriate than full concurrency.
