A sentencing judge is not required to impose different sentences on individual counts merely because the amounts stolen differ substantially; a broad-brush approach is permissible where the substance of the offending is the same. A factual mistake in sentencing remarks will not vitiate the sentence if it does not significantly change the overall picture. Severity by comparison with other sentences is not, without more, sufficient to establish manifest excess.
