The obligation under s 27(1)(a)(i) of the PIPA to provide documents 'about the incident' is limited to documents about the specific incident described in the notice of claim, and is narrower than the obligation under s 27(1)(b)(i) to provide information about the 'circumstances of, or the reasons for, the incident'. The broader construction of 'circumstances of the accident' under the Motor Accident Insurance Act 1994 (Qld) does not apply to s 27(1)(a)(i). Documents such as training records, floor plans, camera placement plans, prior complaints, and prior claims are not documents 'about the incident' and cannot be compelled under s 27(1)(a)(i).
