The slip rule under UCPR r 388 (Qld) permits a court to make a costs order omitted due to counsel's accidental oversight, even after orders have been perfected, at least where the court would have immediately corrected the orders once the matter was brought to its attention. The power is discretionary and not exercised as a matter of course. Appeals that are manifestly hopeless warrant indemnity costs.
