A global sentence of six years imprisonment with parole eligibility after two and a half years was not manifestly excessive for an offender who committed multiple drug production offences across three indictments while on serial bail, including agreeing to produce one kilogram of methylamphetamine for $30,000, notwithstanding significant mitigating factors including cooperation with police, guilty pleas, admissions to otherwise undiscoverable offences, drug addiction, and onerous prison conditions resulting from assaults in custody.
