Evidence of prior illicit commercial dealings between co-accused (not limited to drug dealings specifically) is admissible and may properly be directed upon as relevant to negativing an innocent association between an accused and drugs found in premises occupied by the accused. A trial judge's direction permitting the jury to use such evidence is not erroneous where the judge properly limits its use and reminds the jury that such evidence does not constitute direct evidence of the offence charged.
