A sentencing judge's treatment of delay between charging and sentencing as a mitigating factor will not constitute an error of principle where the judge has taken into account the offender's rehabilitation and the effect of delay on the offender, even if reflected in the parole eligibility date rather than the head sentence. A complaint that insufficient weight was given to delay is a complaint about the exercise of the sentencing discretion, not an error of principle.
