An offer to plead guilty to a charged offence recorded in a case conference certificate does not satisfy s 25D(2)(a); to obtain the 25% discount, the plea must actually be entered in the Local Court and accepted by the Magistrate, even where the Crown later accepts the identical offer after committal.
