Director‑general may appear at hearings

(1)

The director‑general, or a person appointed for the purpose by the director‑general, may appear at the hearing of the proceedings on an application for an adoption order, and may address the court, and call, examine and cross-examine witnesses.

(2)

For subsection (1), the director‑general is a party to the proceedings.
