39 Review of status of child or young person released for adoption
If—
all required consents to the adoption of a child or young person have been given; and
the child or young person has not been—
placed for adoption within 1 year; or
adopted within 1 year after being placed for adoption;
the director‑general must apply to the court for an order under this section.
On an application under subsection (1), the court may—
review the status of the child or young person; and
make any orders in relation to guardianship or custody of the child or young person, or any other orders to promote the best interests of the child or young person, that the court thinks fit.
