Adoption Act 1993

A person (the applicant) may apply to the court for an adoption order for a child or young person if an adoption order for the child or young person may be made in favour of the applicant under this part or part 4A (Intercountry and overseas adoption).

A person (the applicant) may apply to the court for an adoption order for a person who is 18 years old or older if an adoption order for the person may be made in favour of the applicant under section 10.

Note If a form is approved under the Court Procedures Act 2004, s 8 for an application, the form must be used.
