Cash facilities

(1)

The casino licensee commits an offence if the licensee provides, or allows the provision of, a cash facility in the casino.

Maximum penalty: 50 penalty units, imprisonment for 6 months or both.

Note

The commission may give the casino licensee a direction in relation to the separation of cash facilities from the casino (see s 63 (1) (e)).

(2)

In this section:

cash facility—

(a)

means—

(i)

an automatic teller machine; or

(ii)

an EFTPOS facility (other than an EFTPOS debit facility that is used only for payment for food or beverages); or

(iii)

any other facility for gaining access to cash or credit; but

(b)

does not include a facility where cash is exchanged for other denominations of cash, chips, tokens, tickets or cards for the purpose of playing games in the casino.
