Disclosure of interests—advisory panel members
136G Disclosure of interests—advisory panel members
This section applies if—
a member of a casino advisory panel, or a person assisting a casino advisory panel, has a direct or indirect financial interest or personal interest in a matter in relation to a Ministerial decision about which the advisory panel is to make a recommendation; and
the interest could conflict with the proper exercise of the advisory panel’s functions in relation to making the recommendation.
As soon as practicable after the member, person assisting the advisory panel, or the advisory panel becomes aware of the relevant facts, the member, person or advisory panel must disclose the nature of the interest to the Minister.
The member or person must not participate, or further participate, in making the recommendation, unless the Minister directs otherwise.
