41 Employees must hold licence to work
The casino licensee commits an offence if, on a day—
a person performs a prescribed function in relation to the casino; and
the person either—
does not hold a casino employee licence to perform the function; or
is not competent to perform the function.
Maximum penalty (for each day): 5 penalty units.
A person commits an offence if, on a day—
the person performs a prescribed function in relation to the casino; and
the person does not hold a casino employee licence to perform the function.
Maximum penalty (for each day): 5 penalty units.
An offence against this section is a strict liability offence.
Subsection (1) (b) (ii) does not apply in relation to a function performed by a casino employee if the employee performs the function in accordance with a condition of the employee’s casino employee licence that allows the employee, until the employee is competent to perform the function, to perform the function under the supervision of a casino employee who is licensed, and competent, to perform the function.
