Classification (Publications, Films and Computer Games) (Enforcement) Act 1995

This section applies if a licensee proposes to—

sell X 18+ films at premises other than premises stated in the licence; or

stop selling X 18+ films at particular premises stated in the licence.

Not later than 28 days before the day of the proposed change, the licensee must give the commissioner—

the licence; and

written notice of the proposed change and the proposed date of change.

The commissioner must amend the licence and return it to the licensee within 7 days after the day the commissioner receives the licence and notice.

The licence amendment takes effect on the date stated in the notice.

An offence against this section is a strict liability offence.
