Exhibition of films—display of notice about classifications

In force

(1)

A person commits an offence if—

(a)

the person exhibits a film in a public place; and

(b)

the person does not display a notice—

(i)

in the approved form about classifications for films; and

(ii)

in the public place so that the notice is clearly visible to the public.

Maximum penalty: 5 penalty units.

Note

The notice is approved by the director of the board (see dict, def approved form).

(2)

An offence against this section is a strict liability offence.
