Arbitration—denial and submission to award or payment by employer
3957 Arbitration—denial and submission to award or payment by employer
An employer who is a party to an arbitration may, before the day set for the arbitration—
file in the court a notice stating that—
the employer does not admit liability on the claim; or
the employer submits to an award of the court for the payment of the amount of weekly compensation stated in the notice but does not admit liability on the claim; and
pay into court—
an amount sufficient to cover the liability the employer would have on the claim if the employer did not deny liability; or
the amount stated in the notice.
