6432 Service on corporations—additional ways for all corporations
A document may be served on a corporation under these rules by leaving it at, or sending it by post to, the corporation’s registered office.
This rule does not affect the operation of any other law that authorises or requires service of a document otherwise than as provided under this rule.
The note to r 6431 (1) sets out other applicable laws.
In this rule:
registered office, for a corporation, includes—
if the corporation has a registered office under the Corporations Act—that office; and
if under a territory law or a law of the Commonwealth a document may be served on the corporation by leaving it at, or sending it by post to, a place—that place; and
if paragraphs (a) and (b) do not apply in relation to the corporation but it has an office or place of business in the ACT—that office or place.
