Receiver—powers
773 Receiver—powers
A receiver has the powers of a receiver and manager, unless the court otherwise orders.
Pt 6.2 (Applications in proceedings) applies to an application for an order under this rule.
The court may authorise a receiver to do anything a party might do.
The court may authorise the receiver to do the thing—
either in the receiver’s name or the party’s name; and
either generally or in a particular case; and
whether or not the party is a person with a legal disability.
If the party is a person with a legal disability, the authorisation has effect as if the party were not a person with a legal disability.
This rule does not limit the court’s powers to authorise a receiver to do anything.
