173 Administering anabolic steroids
(1)
A person commits an offence if the person administers an anabolic steroid to himself, herself or someone else.
Maximum penalty: 50 penalty units, imprisonment for 6 months or both.
(2)
This section does not apply to an anabolic steroid if the anabolic steroid is—
(a)
registered under the Therapeutic Goods Act 1989 (Cwlth); or
(b)
administered for the purposes of a clinical trial conducted under that Act.
